It won't be Steve Coppell though as he signed
a new contract at promoted Reading yesterday and Phil Parkinson has become favourite for the
Ipswich job after they sacked Joe Royle on the same day.
And in other Addicks news the manager might have the added bonus of UEFA Cup football after we won the
Fair Play League. Charlton's name will be added to 10 others in the draw on June 4th. If, by minor miracle, we are drawn out then early qualifying games could jeopardise the club's planned
trip to South Africa.
